Privacy policy
This policy explains how Savalen Hestesenter Jan Klemmetvold handles personal data when you use our website and get in touch with us.
Data controller
Savalen Hestesenter Jan Klemmetvold, company no. 987 030 720, Savalen, 2500 Tynset. If you have questions about privacy, contact us at savalen@hestesenter.no or +47 907 68 137.
Contact form and enquiries
When you send an enquiry through the form on our website, we process your name, telephone number, email address and whatever you choose to tell us in the message. This is used only to reply to you and to follow up your booking. The legal basis is the performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries. The information is sent to us by email and deleted once it is no longer needed.
Booking and payment
When you buy a gift card or make other bookings, the payment itself is handled by our payment provider Stripe. When you pay, you give details such as your name, email address and card information directly to Stripe. Your card number is processed and stored by Stripe – we never see or store it ourselves. We receive only a confirmation of the payment and details of the booking itself.
Stripe is our data processor for payments, and the processing takes place in order to perform our contract with you. Stripe may transfer and process data outside the EU/EEA, including in the United States. Such transfers are made on the basis of the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (SCC). You can read more in Stripe's privacy policy.
We keep information about the booking and the purchase for as long as accounting and bookkeeping rules require, which as a rule is five years.
Registration for riding camp
When you register for a riding camp, we record details about the child (name, date of birth, and what you tell us about riding experience and any allergies or special diet) and about you as the guardian (name, email address and telephone number). The information is used only to run the camp safely – matching rider and horse, taking allergies into account, and contacting guardians when needed. We therefore ask that you do not give us more health information than is necessary.
The legal basis is the performance of the participation agreement. The information is available only to us at the centre, and we delete the participant lists once they are no longer needed after the camp – except for what accounting and bookkeeping rules require us to keep about the purchase itself (see above).
Content from Google, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok
On the home page we show reviews and photographs retrieved automatically from our profiles on Google, Instagram and Facebook, along with selected videos embedded from TikTok. When that part of the page is displayed, content is loaded directly from the servers of Google, Meta (Instagram/Facebook), TikTok and their content networks. This means those services may receive your IP address and technical information about your browser, and may set their own cookies, in the same way as when you visit Google, Instagram, Facebook or TikTok directly.
We retrieve only publicly available content, and we use it to give a living, up-to-date picture of the experiences we offer. We have no control over how Google, Meta and TikTok handle data on their own platforms – see their own privacy policies for details.
Maps
On the contact page we show a map from Google Maps so that you can find your way to us easily. Here too, content is loaded from Google, which may receive your IP address and set cookies.
Cookies
Our website does not set any tracking cookies of its own. Embedded content from Google and Meta (the maps, reviews and photographs described above) may set cookies from those services. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct and delete the personal data we hold about you, and you may complain to the Norwegian Data Protection Authority (Datatilsynet) if you believe our processing breaches data protection rules. Contact us at savalen@hestesenter.no to exercise your rights.
