Savalen Hestesenter lies beautifully in the mountains at Savalen in Tynset, in the heart of Nord-Østerdal. Here you will meet 16 calm Norwegian horses of the Dølahest, Fjord horse, Nordlandshest and Icelandic breeds. Whether you are hoping for a quiet ride in the mountains, an atmospheric sleigh ride, or something a little different for a stag or hen party, a corporate outing or a celebration – we welcome beginners and experienced riders alike.

Where is Savalen Hestesenter?
We are at Savalen in the municipality of Tynset, in the heart of Nord-Østerdal in Innlandet county. The mountains around Savalen are some of the finest riding country in Norway.
What is there to do at Savalen and Tynset?
With us you can join a ride in the mountains, a riding camp, a sleigh ride in winter, a trip by horse and carriage, a pack-horse trek, a family ride or a full-moon ride. We also arrange stag and hen parties, corporate outings and celebrations.
Is it suitable for beginners and children?
Yes. We have 16 calm Norwegian horses and welcome beginners and experienced riders alike. We adapt our rides and arrangements to age and experience, including for the youngest guests.
Can I ride without any experience?
Absolutely. Our horses are safe and well trained, and you are given instruction before setting off. Tell us about your riding experience when you book, and we will find the right horse for you.
